I'm busy searching for the next adventure!
Rome has been on my bucket list from the first trip I took and I finally made it happen! After some lackluster NYE's I decided I wasn't staying at home again and booked a trip with my mom and sister! Rome was amazing - the Colosseum, the Vatican, the food!! And then we went to Florence for a few days, which is one of the most perfect cities! I could go back to Florence time and time again.
Jordan and Israel were truly a live changing experience! The unbelievable landscapes and friendliest people in Jordan to the history and breathtaking sites in Israel - this was an unbelievable trip from beginning to end. The night sky in Wadi Rum, the first view of Petra, floating in the Dead Sea, walking where Jesus walked in Jerusalem and the Sea of Galilee and the great culture of Tel Aviv! It is a place to repeat again!
Ireland is magical! It was a fantastic time experiencing the Irish country side through food, drinks and great company! There is definitely plenty to do in the cities but make sure to experience the the smaller towns and speak with the locals and trying the food and drinks they make. I swear I could eat Irish goat cheese everyday!
Iceland in December was cold but the sites make up for it! The landscape is so different from place to place - from Waterfalls, geysers, black sand beaches and glaciers to trek through. The Northern Lights remained elusive for me but I am determined to chase them down, so I'll be back!
I love the mountains and what a way to see them! Starting in Switzerland, driving to France and then Italy, taking a train from Italy back in to Switzerland and then driving Austria, with a stop in Lichtenstein and then ending in Germany, all through the mountains. This trip was jam packed with all there was to see and places I can't wait to go back to!
South Africa was a once in a lifetime trip but don't worry, I'll be back! Cape Town is a beautiful city with such rich history and the food scene is pretty fantastic. Cape Town is surrounded by the ocean, mountains for ziplining and world class wineries! Going on safari is an experience you will never forget - there is nothing like seeing the animals in their natural habitat.
Road trip to Colorado. Such a beautiful state! I went up Pike's Peak, saw Elk in Estes Park, went into Rocky Mountain National Park, drove south and terrifyingly drove through Monarch Pass, visited Ouray (cutest town ever!) and went to Telluride, before making the way back home through New Mexico.
Nashville is another favorite of mine. I've been a couple of times and will be back! There are some great things to do from the Grand Ole Opry, Ryman Auditorium, Country Music Hall of Fame Museum, Johnny Cash Museum, live music on Broadway and of course the FOOD!
Japan was a trip to visit my nephew who was stationed there with the US Air Force. It was so much more than I ever expected! From the Fish Market, the bullet train and visiting Kyoto, Sushi making, Tokyo Disney, Mt. Fuji and some amazing Ramen! I would love to go back and see the Cherry Blossoms!
Road trip to Smoky Mountains! My car broke down in Memphis on the way but the trip was amazing. If you love mountains, you definitely need to add the Great Smoky Mountains to your list. We even got some ziplining in while there!
This trip solidified that London is my favorite city in the world! It has so much history, culture and enough to keep anyone busy, including day trip options to Paris, Edinburgh and Amsterdam, via train.
I had fantastic time seeing all that Washington D.C. has to offer, including the National Mall, a wine tasting evening event at Mount Vernon and even touring the White House.
Summer Study Abroad to London, England; Paris and Nice, France; and Rapallo and Florence, Italy. In typical college fashion, I saw a lot, learned some and had a really fantastic time! The travel bug really bit me and had me asking for more!
